All the rage of influencers in Utah and the western states are these pajamas from Lates By Kate. I had seen so much about them on social media, and asked a personal friend for her opinion, and saw only good things, so I bought my own pair!
Well, as comfy as they are, I’m not sure I’ll ever buy a second pair though! Read more details below for why!
Are they comfortable?
Absolutely! Lates By Kate Jam Pant sets are smooth and easy for relaxing in! Especially if you follow the care instructions of line drying. I did for the first few washes. Our house already gets so humid here in Florida though, so I started drying them on delicate cycle. They aren’t as soft as they originally were, but they are still comfy!
Two front pockets in the pants, one in the back, and one in the shirt helps with little projects around the house too. I always find random toys or papers around the house, and it’s a quick place for a temporary solution!
For the color, I purchased Peach Pearl, which is gorgeous! It’s a lighter color with no pattern though, so any patterns on your underthings show right through. Not the most comfortable in that sense around others.
How’s the fit?
At 135 pounds and 5’ 5”, I purchased size small. I probably should have sized up to medium for a more comfortable fit, though. They are fine and fit regularly, but are difficult when I’m having a more anxious evening. They are just on the edge of tight. My husband doesn’t mind though, and they don’t look dowdy or baggy.
The pants are more of a jogger-style, with a thicker band around the ankles and a tapered leg. The waistband is about two inches thick, so it lays flat. There is a drawstring as well, but it does twist around in the wash and is difficult to readjust back straight. The shirt is a basic short-sleeve style, scalloped up on the sides and a round neck. The neck isn’t too high though, and is looser. Not like a wide boat neck, but not a constricting, high, round neck either.
Are they worth the price?
Including shipping, the Jam Pant set was $73. It was quite a splurge purchase for me, when I shop primarily from clearance racks. And when I go to pick out a set of pajamas for bed, they aren’t the ones I grab for first. So, they weren’t worth the price for me! A different set may have worked better, in size and color!
But as much as Lates by Kate aren’t for me, many others rave about them! So, make sure to research them for yourself! And they do accept returns — so maybe you still want to try them yourself!
